A local charity supporting the local community
give2give was established in 2003 and has grown over the years to become the leading local re-use charity in Bromley. give2give raises funds to support good causes in Bromley. It does this by selling donated items that are given generously by local people. give2give sells furniture, household and white goods from its two large furniture stores, and clothing, toys, books and bric-a-brac from its two charity shops. Charitable activities include:
Community minibus service: use is free of charge to local community groups and small charities.
Caravan holiday scheme: free holidays for people who would benefit from having a break away from home and who are referred by one of our partner agencies. Discount schemes: for people claiming income-based benefits, Affinity Sutton social housing residents, and NHS staff. Free furniture: for people experiencing severe hardship and who are referred to give2give for help Starter packs: for people moving into a new home and who have none, or very few, pieces of furniture and household essentials. In-kind help: with practical tasks like decorating and garden tidying. Practical help for local community groups: includes providing furniture and other items free of charge, or on loan. Community RePaint Bromley: access to free, or low cost, good quality reusable paint to help people in need, local community groups, and schools. Volunteer and work experience programme: helping people develop skills and experience to help prepare them for work.
Encouraging re-use and recycling: promoting the benefits of reducing waste from going to landfill or for incineration. We offer talks about what we do and seek to encourage more people to consider buying re-used items and to donate items they no longer need
