About Katharine House Hospice - Staffordshire
About This Shop
Katharine House provides free hospice care services for people faced with a progressive illness that cannot be cured.
Our aim is to enable our patients and those close to them to live as fully as possible and make the most of the time that’s left. Katharine House Hospice has grown hugely since it opened in 1993 and now offers a 15 place day unit, 10 bedded in-patient unit, and many additional services including a Carers Group, Drop-In service, bereavement support, and a Lymphoedema Clinic. All of our services are provided free of charge and we rely heavily on public support to be able to do this.
The Hospice has 16 retail stores spanning mid-Staffordshire which are predominantly staffed by volunteers and stocked by donations from local people. Our weekly lottery sees one lucky winner receiving a £1000 cheque – with 167 other winners winning between £5 and £200 with a quarterly bumper draw with a top prize of £3000. The Hospice also hosts a calendar of fundraising events ensuring a great time for supporters whilst raising vital funds for the Hospice.
