The patient and family are central to care and are involved in all decision making. Information, when sought, is provided with honesty and sensitivity whilst respecting confidentiality and appreciating the importance of hope and quality of life which is individual to each person. Everyone has a right to express their spiritual needs and we respect without judgment different beliefs, faith, and cultures and will endeavour to support individual choices relevant to life and death issues
