About North London Hospice
About This Shop
North London Hospice is a registered charity and has been caring for local people since 1984.
We help those with a potentially life-limiting illness who have specialist needs. Care is provided to help them physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We try to help our patients live life to the full despite their illness. We treat people as individuals and respect their personal beliefs, lifestyle, and culture. The Hospice is multi-faith and welcomes patients from all faiths and communities. Emotional and practical support is also offered to patients’ families, friends, and carers. Our services are provided free of charge by specially trained multi-professional teams, which include doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, counsellors, and chaplains. It costs more than £7m every year to fund our services. Although we receive some government funding, we rely on donations and legacies to meet the cost of providing three-quarters of our care.
North London Hospice offers the following services:
Community Specialist Palliative Care Teams
Day Services
Inpatient Unit
Palliative Care Support Service (Hospice at Home)
Loss and Transition Support (including bereavement support)
We have 18 thriving and welcoming charity shops situated on busy high streets throughout Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. Our charity shops are our lifeline, raising approximately 10% of our annual income.
All our shops are stocked entirely with donated items (with the exception of our charity Christmas cards) so we rely on the generosity of our local community to bring in items in a good saleable condition.
• Books, records & CDs
• Clothes, bags & shoes
• Crockery, glass & bric-a-brac
• Small electrical goods & items of furniture
