About This Shop
St Nicholas Hospice Care is a charity that can provide care and support for people in West Suffolk and Thetford living with terminal life-shortening illnesses, and their families.
We aim to improve the quality of life for everyone affected by it, in any way that they might need. Within the Hospice we have a purpose-built bedded unit, Sylvan Ward, as well as the Orchard Centre which hosts day activities for both patients and carers. Care is also provided outside of the Hospice building to support patients in their own homes, with our Community Hospice Team, as well as our team of trained volunteer Hospice Neighbours who help with the daily tasks which can become unmanageable when living with dying. All our services are completely free of charge at point of delivery.
The Hospice raises funds from the community and our chain of Hospice shops which sell a wide variety of high quality, pre-loved items, including clothing, furniture, bric-a-brac, books and toys plus much more! Shops are located in towns across West Suffolk and Thetford.
The central hub for the retail operation is our Retail Warehouse in Bury St Edmunds. If you’re looking for some good quality furniture, then we recommend paying the warehouse a visit. The Retail Centre also offers a free collection service for donated furniture, so if you’re unable to deliver, we can collect.
