Marie Curie – Liverpool Daffodil walk
Step out for a springtime stroll and support local people facing terminal illness.
Bring your family, friends (and the dog too!) for a 4km or 8km walk around beautiful Sefton Park.
What can you expect on the walk?
The walk will start at 10am at the Obelisk in Sefton Park. You may arrive from 9.00am where you’ll sign in and head to collect your t-shirt. You’ll choose to walk either a 4km or 8km route around the park; there will be marshals along the route pointing you in the right direction, and you’ll probably be able to follow the sea of yellow t-shirts! There will be food vans offering breakfast options, tea & coffee, and well-deserved ice cream for after your walk! Your local radio station Radio City will also be there, getting you warmed up and excited to get walking.
Do I need to fundraise?
The registration fee only contributes towards the running and administrative costs of the event, so it does not contribute to Marie Curie’s services. We suggest you try and raise at least £60 each which covers three hours of nursing care.
How we’ll support you:
You’ll receive a welcome pack with lots of great fundraising advice and support, and on the day of the event, you’ll get your t-shirt to wear with pride. Our fantastic team of staff and volunteers will greet you with a warm welcome on the day, and they’ll celebrate with you as you cross the finish line. You’ll also get a medal for taking part!
Adult (over 16): £10
Under 16’s: Free
The event is open to all ages. Under 16s do not need to register, but can attend and must be accompanied by a registered adult.
