Myton Hospice

Spring Social at Warwick Racecourse – Myton Hospice

Join us on Wednesday 22nd of May, to celebrate the wonderful town of Warwick and its community, by running the two most prestigious races of their four days in May (The Wigley Group Carnival Handicap Steeple Chase and the Feldon Dunsmore Carnival Handicap Hurdle).

Our race titles carry the names of famous people & horses associated with Warwick’s past.

William Eborall – a local mason who was the first referenced clerk of the course at Warwick.

    • Coronation – Winner of the 1841 Epsom Derby after winning the Warwick Trial Stakes. Warwick’s only Classic winner.
  • Chandler – Winner of the 1848 Grand National after becoming famous for a legendary leap of 37 feet, clearing several fallers & Gog Brook during the Leamington Hunt Club Steeplechase in 1847.

For only £50, you will enjoy entry to the races, a welcome drink (alcoholic or not, your choice), and a prime viewing spot in the Duke’s Bar situated on the first floor of the main grandstand.

A delicious lunch will be served, and everyone will be entered into a free draw to win four tickets to a fixture (Warwick Racecourse) later in the season.

Sharing boards include:

Chicken Liver Pate • Red Onion Sausage Roll • Charcuterie – Cold Meats • Slow Roasted Tomato Tart • Penny Bread Roll, Butter • Breadsticks • Olives • Chutney • Cheddar Wedge • Mixed Leaf Salad

Tea and coffee are freely available throughout the event and a welcome talk from one of Warwick Racecourse experts with some top tips for those who wish to bet.

And best of all, you will be helping Myton to help our patients and their families make the most out of every moment of life.
