About Blythe House Hospice
About This Shop
Blythe House Hospice provides free, individualised, holistic care and support for anyone in the High Peak living with cancer or other serious, life-threatening illness.
Discovering what’s important, being offered practical help and advice, and exploring new ways of coping enables people to live their lives to the full through an often difficult and stressful time. Clients are warmly welcomed and a range of group or individual services is available for them, their carers, family, and friends.
Our highly-skilled team of specialist doctors, nurses, complementary therapists, counselors, and volunteers offer a range of services and supports in a positive and tranquil environment. At Blythe House, specialist interactions can include information provision, symptom control, pain relief, counseling, complementary therapy, mindfulness training, and much more. A chat and a laugh with others in a similar situation can also be highly beneficial, or a creative arts session may reveal previously hidden talents! A new Hospice at Home service will be launched in Spring 2016 as a two-year pilot project. This new service is intended to support people who are in the last year of their life, and their families, across the High Peak.
We have six shops in the High Peak, including a large department store and a furniture shop. All our shops offer a wide range of quality donated goods at extremely competitive prices, the sale of which generates essential funds to keep the hospice running. We also operate an eBay site that sells a selection of valuables, retro/vintage items, and collectibles. This platform gives Blythe House an excellent opportunity to make the most of our more exclusive donations selling to customers all over the world. So why not pop into one of our Aladdin’s caves or surf our site and bag yourself a bargain today!
