About Cumbria Cerebral Palsy
About This Shop
CP Cumbria (registered charity 1139702) is the only local and Cumbrian
based charity for individuals of all ages affected by cerebral palsy,
their families and carers. The charity provides a variety of support for
people with cerebral palsy and associated disabilities ranging from
information, benefit checks, support in accessing resources to simply
being a “listening ear”.
We have a small chain of four charity shops which help raise funds
for our work. The generosity of our supporters over recent years has
been amazing, and monies raised are used to support our community work
services, as well as to purchase equipment for use by people in their own
homes. Staff and volunteers are proud of their achievements and the
direct help they give through the shops to local people.
Donations of good quality clothing, bric-a-brac, books, etc. are always
welcome at our shops. We are also very green and anything that doesn’t
sell, we are proud to be able to recycle. We also run a Gift Aid scheme
where eligible donors can Gift Aid the items, making them 25% more
valuable in the process! Please ask the staff when you visit the shop
for information about this scheme.
If you can spare some time to
volunteer in one of our shops, please don’t hesitate to get in touch
with your local branch.
