ellenor is the only charity in Kent that provides hospice care for people of all ages – babies, children and adults – and their families. Care is given round the clock, with 90% of care given to families in their own home.
This specialist end-of-life care and respite support provided by ellenor, relieves a heavy burden for a family, and incredibly is given completely free of charge. The families never have to pay a penny, as the majority of the £6.7 million, it needs every year is raised from our generous local community.
ellenor charity shops play a big part in raising the funds needed to provide this vital care. Based in the heart of the charity’s catchment area, from Tunbridge Wells to Welling and from Westerham to Gravesend – they sell everything from bicycles to furniture and vintage fashion to electricals. Every pound spent goes towards providing pain and symptom relief, end of life care, respite, bereavement support and emotional and spiritual care to anyone who needs it.
ellenor shops are always at the heart of the local community, they are bright, welcoming places with friendly people. Shopping with ellenor is a great way to pick up a bargain but also means you know your money is going to help local families spend precious time together when it matters most.
