About Epilepsy Outlook
About This Shop
Established 1987 (26 years ago) Epilepsy Outlook has been giving practical help, advice, and information to those newly diagnosed and to people coping with the condition long term. As well as our Advice Centre other services are an Art Group, Craft classes, and a ‘drop-in centre’ for those with uncontrolled epilepsy promoting stress-reducing, therapeutic activities in a safe friendly environment. All our sessions improve well-being and self-esteem and build confidence by learning new skills.
Our charity shops sell a range of items from three-piece suites, wardrobes, and tables to books, ornaments, and kitchen equipment. A wide range of clothes, shoes, and handbags. In fact, customers rarely leave without purchasing a little bargain. Items can be collected free of charge or delivered to your home for a small fee. Our friendly team of 50 + volunteers assist customers in the shops, collect furniture on the van and help with sorting items.
Current appeal
We are currently raising money for a local family to furnish a sensory room within their home for Callum Smith who has many neurological conditions one being epilepsy. He is 18 months old and will have many various needs as he grows.
We are hoping to raise £5,000 initially for equipment and we along with Hartlepool Mail are encouraging giving directly through Charity Shops.
