About St Rocco's Hospice
About This Shop
St. Rocco’s Hospice provides loving care and support to patients living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. The Hospice offers Day Hospice care, In-Patient Care, Family Support and Spiritual support.
The Hospice Team – The clinical staff work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure high-quality care in a safe and secure environment
In-Patient Unit – The Hospice has 10 In-Patient Unit beds; all the rooms are single, ensuite with TV/DVD and telephone.
Day Hospice – Day Hospice Services are available to any person who has a diagnosis of cancer or life-threatening disease. We are able to provide support at any stage for those affected and also for their carers.
Family Support – The team consists of Social workers, a Psychotherapist and a Bereavement Care Co-ordinator.
Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care – The multi-disciplinary team at St. Rocco’s Hospice includes a small team of chaplains from the main Christian denominations in Warrington.
Palliative Care – St. Rocco’s Hospice delivers specialist Palliative Care to people with a life-threatening illness.
Hospice Shops – Profit from the shops pays for a large proportion of the vital services which the Hospice provides for the community. Traditionally, the shops have been managed and run by volunteers – now numbering more than 270 – whose efforts repeatedly put St. Rocco’s at the top of the league tables of Charity Shops nationally. Awards won by the shops range from the ‘most profitable’ to the ‘most volunteer hours’ given by our volunteers. Income from the shops has grown year on year, justifying expansion to new sites – now seven in total – the running of the Hospice furniture van and more recently our signing the lease on our largest premises. We opened these for trade-in April 2007 as our ‘Furniture and Interiors’ shop at Bridgefoot – a prime site in the centre of Warrington.
