Our new shop in Woodbridge has been declared officially open, with customers flocking through the doors to get their hands on clothing worn by Ed Sheeran.

EACH recently acquired a former carpet showroom in Hamblin Road and it has been turned into a boutique shop. Among a range of high-quality products on sale at the opening were jeans, shoes, belts and even friendship bracelets donated by EACH Ambassador Ed.

Phoebe Preston, EACH Shop Manager, cut the ribbon. She said: “We’re delighted to have opened our new shop in Woodbridge and really look forward to becoming part of the community. The till has been ringing since we opened the doors and Ed’s clothing helped raise a fantastic £1,440 in the first hour! It’s been great hearing so many lovely comments from customers and we’re confident folk here will continue getting behind our shop, and help the charity continue its retail success. Please do get in touch if you have good-quality items to donate or a few spare hours to volunteer.”

Ed, 28, has been a major EACH supporter since linking up with us in 2014. Among other things, he has done an exclusive performance at London’s Natural History Museum, visited EACH’s hospice in Ipswich, The Treehouse, and donated plenty of clothing. EACH has previously sold items for thousands of pounds, both in its shops and in online auctions.

Our retail portfolio is growing at a fast pace, with nine shops having opened last year. This latest one in Woodbridge, to trade seven days a week, is it’s seventh of 2019. It joins 13 other EACH shops in Suffolk and is the charity’s 42nd overall.

We welcome donations of the following clean and good-quality goods: clothing, bric-a-brac, modern paperbacks, toys, jewellery, DVDs/CDs, household linens, retro and vintage clothes, and small electrical items. These can be dropped off at the new shop now.

EACH also needs donations of good-quality furniture and can collect it free of charge if you are unable to transport it yourself. Call 01842 821620 for more information.

Anyone interested in more information on volunteering at the new shop can email volunteerservices@each.org.uk or call Sarah on 07540 335680.
