St Helena Hospice’s new Vintage shop is now open on Sir Isaac’s Walk!

Five long-serving volunteers (each with over 30 years of service under their belt) cut the ribbon to declare the new vintage shop open on Friday 27th September. A group of excited customers waited eagerly outside before the vintage shop was declared open.

Karen Stokes, St Helena’s Retail Area Manager, has said: “We are really excited to announce that our brand new vintage shop is now open in a brilliant new location closer to the town centre on Sir Isaac’s Walk.”

“St Helena’s previous vintage shop, located on Head Street, was a unique and much-loved shop with a plethora of genuine vintage items from the pretty to the obscure.”

“The new shop on Sir Isaac’s Walk has been beautifully renovated to fit the vintage theme and will be filled with fabulous donations from ’back in the day’.”

The new vintage shop will play a vital role in generating the income needed to fund St Helena Hospice’s services that are provided in people’s homes, over the phone 24/7, and at The Hospice.

St Helena has 18 shops across North Essex and all the money raised from sales in the shops goes towards helping local people face incurable illness and bereavement, supporting them, their families, friends, and carers.
